Aylesford Pottery

If you’ve been inspired by BBC’s programme ‘The Great Pottery Throw Down’ and you want to have a go, or just own some handmade Kent ceramics, then the Aylesford Pottery is hosting a ceramics experience on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th April as part of Big Weekend..

Even if you never had a go on a potter’s wheel but just fancy trying it, this is your chance. There will be a small charge if you want to keep the item you make for firing and glazing. Work can be collected in about 3-4 weeks following the event. In the gallery work done by the master potters Alan Parris and Billy Byles will be for sale.

Open from 10am to 4pm on Saturday & Sunday and the pottery can be found in the grounds of Aylesford Priory, which is close to Maidstone in Kent.

Entry by ticket only. 10 people per hour starting at 10am and ending at 4pm.
